Data Analyst/£450,00 - £500,00/Inside iR35/Immediate start/12 Months contract
My client is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to work in the technology and data delivery of the Financial Crime initiatives. You will get a sound understanding of the current application domain and gather business requirements and prepare software and data specifications to evolve the financial crime platform.
Reporting into a Tech Delivery Lead, you will be part of a cross-functional agile team and interact with stakeholders across the business, technology and data teams, so you will have to leverage a strong technical background but also functional knowledge to be able to communicate effectively. The role requires a collaborative, independent, committed individual who can speak up and offer constructive feedback with strong technical foundations.
We are looking for:
Data analysis experience using HiveQL, SQL, Cypher, json/REST APIs.
Functional knowledge of financial services and financial crime domain: due diligence, risk assessment, screening, transaction monitoring, etc.
Experience documenting data pipelines and ETL processes: source identification, interfaces, transformation/mapping rules and target data models.
Experience with agile delivery, documenting user stories and working closely with engineers and testers to deliver data.
Implementation experience with big data platforms, relational DBs, document DBs, search engines and graph databases.
Basic knowledge of Datamodelling techniques and tools.
Programming languages such as Scala, Java or python is a plus.
