Network Engineer - Public Sector - Remote/London 3 months+ Inside IR35
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Network Engineer to join a team within a higher education organisation and be hands on with a range of duties and report to the Network Lead.
Palo and Extreme experience and qualifications are essential for this position
A.Experience of supporting Cisco and Extreme networks Switches, Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto Firewalls, VPNs, Infoblox IPAM, network management and monitoring tools.
B.Experience of VLAN changes and patch management
C.Good knowledge of network technologies, concepts, tools and practices, and industry standards such as the OSI layer, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), loop prevention protocols, SDN, VPNs, Policy based networking, WANS and VLANs.
D.Experience of using Service Management tools to log and track service requests and changes.
E.Excellent organisational and communication skills with ability to use own initiative and communicate effectively with a diverse range of both internal and external stakeholders verbally and in writing
