Front End developer, fully remote, React

An opportunity for a Front End contractor who has an extensive knowledge in react to work for a leading financial firm, fully remote.

The Front End developer will be covering the full creative digital spectrum across projects, you'll be joining the government digital UX team to deliver focused, innovative solutions to a range of government clients along with supporting our wider portfolio of clients across the UK.

Please note: the assignment has been deemed inside of IR35

Front End Developer, React, key skills;

  • React JS experience (React core framework)
  • 4+ years of industry experience and strong work samples which demonstrate your process and the finished project.
    Demonstrable knowledge, experience in and passion for user centered design practices for web, service or software development.
  • Proven experience of understanding user needs for web content, tools and transactional services, especially those with the most complex user journeys.
  • Experience introducing and establishing design thinking practices in an organisation.
  • Be able to sketch and prototype on paper and in HTML
  • Be able to work quickly in an agile environments

Front End Developer, React, responsibilities;

  • Your role will be hands on in problem solving, translating business requirements into clean, intuitive experiences. You will be an expert in creating and crafting UX material based on research you have gathered and use it to consult with our clients
  • aspects of team leadership, using your experience to inspire others and bring energy to new projects.
  • You'll be working across all things UX, from groundwork research through to rapid prototypes. UX research for multi-platform projects, optimising user journeys and product interactions. Manage multiple projects from prototype to launch in a fast paced environment
  • Proactively look for opportunities for reuse, to adhere to style guides and uniformity within and across projects
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams, liaising between creative, technology and business teams
  • Present and defend design deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Working in collaboration with passionate people in an open and creative environment
  • Relaying project framework to the digital design team. Providing inspiration and motivation to the UX team
  • Promote design thinking and advocate design principles and best practices
  • Mentor junior UX designers
