Description
Allen Lane is working alongside an NHS organisation in London, who are recruiting for two interim Infrastructure Project Managers to support with ongoing IT infrastructure related projects including Server/Network upgrades and IT Security improvements. This role will be based on site.
The successful candidates will be required to cover the following responsibilities;
- Project management of IT projects as assigned by the Head of Infrastructure
- Production of all formal project documentation to the standards defined by the Head of Infrastructure and Programme Manager and as defined by NHS standards of best practice such as Prince 2 including items such as formal Business cases and Project Initiation documents
- Responsible for the production of project reports to the Project board, ensuring escalation reports provided in a timely manner to avoid major disruptions to the project, providing recommendations as and when appropriate
- Manage project staff which could be comprised of multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide regular reports to key stakeholders and develop communications strategy for projects
- Set and monitor performance standards of the benefits realisation of the project to ensure that operational and clinical benefits are achieved
- Chair meetings and present to large and diverse groups of people
- Write clear, concise and comprehensive documents and reports
Skillsets/qualifications required for this role include;
- Worked within a IT technical background previously, and has hands on experience at an infrastructure level
- Previously worked within an NHS environment
- In-depth understanding or hands on experience of core Network/Server/Desktop Infrastructure (Including Cisco/HP/VMware/Windows)
- Experience of managing medium-scale IT projects leading a team of 5+ staff
- A practitioner qualification in project management such as current PRINCE2 practitioner registration
- Strong knowledge and experience of MS Office, Project and Visio
- MTA/MCSA certification or relevant experience
- CCNA certification or relevant experience
