For one of our clients we are looking for a Exotics Trade AnalystTask description:
The role requires a trade analyst who has experience of the trade booking process and dealing with multiple functions across an investment bank to coordinate all steps necessary in the execution of the movement of trades by migration from one application to another. An understanding of structured and exotic rates is essential.
Main responsibilities:
· Generate, maintain and own Ops Control Spreadsheet that defines list of trades to be migrated
· Communication across groups of trade scope, migration dates and progress against plan
· Own runbook defining the tasks to be undertaken and who will undertake them for the migration
· Agree trade lists and resolve any issues
· Prepare management information and presentations on migration progress and issues
· Data submissions to various stakeholder groups
· Coordinate across regions where required
· PV reconciliations and trade investigation
· Liaison with FO to determine correct booking methodology
· Liaison with MO to determine best practices
· Trade maintenance – keeping migrating trades in line with production
· Ensure new trade bookings and resulting impacts to operating model are inline with the bank’s standards
Required skills:
Technical and Banking Knowledge
· An advanced knowledge of the mechanics of all relevant derivative and hedging products.
· Understanding the basic P&L decomposition for all relevant products and their relative Greeks
· Understanding of the front to back Operations process to include the key elements of confirmations and settlements
· Understand the more detailed elements of other infrastructure groups i.e. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Tax and Compliance.
Trader Support and Customer Service
· Close liaison with the trading floor to provide immediate operational diagnosis for any trading queries. Seen as valued advisor and technical expert.
· Work closely with other Operation functions and other infrastructure groups to support a ‘one business approach’. Seen as a centre of excellence and pivotal communicator.
· Detailed level of appreciation for Traders, Salespersons, and Structuring teams
