Description
Java Developer - Big Data vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software developing using Scala and Java languages
- Expertise in building data-intensive solutions via Big data technology as well as relational databases
- Proficiency in building data streaming solutions using Apache Flink or Apache Spark Streaming
- Familiarity with Big Data technology stack including HDFS, YARN, Impala, Kudu HBase, Zookeeper together with experience with Data modelling and SQL query language
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Developing software components and being responsible for sourcing intraday and end-of-day data as well as extracting analytical insights from the data
- Participating in the design and technology review of the software components developed in the team
- Evolving the whole architecture of the solution with the use of cutting-edge technologies available in the company
- Working on streamlining the development process and enhancing software performance
- Contributing to integration testing efforts, which includes automated and manual testing
- Cooperating with platform management and other team members on the requirements, preparing the release and delivering the applications to production
