Description
Electrical/Systems Engineer job #2586 - Cleveland/Akron, OhioDevelopment, test, debug, transfer to production, and ongoing quality assurance of all manner of products. The Electrical/Systems Engineer provides capability in digital and analog electronics design, FPGAs, firmware, PCB design, and system-level design, specification, and integration.
Duties and Responsibilities (subject to change):
System-level design, specification, and integration of new products, Product component development, Test and verification, Design documentation and transfer to manufacturing, System and component failure analysis and debugging, Risk analysis, Vendor management. Work with suppliers to solve component design and performance problems and to develop custom components, Electromagnetic compliance testing, Product life cycle support, Product improvement for cost and reliability, Some domestic and international travel required
Skills Required:
Digital and analog electronics design, PCB design and layout, FPGA programming, VHDL, Firmware development, System- and component-level debugging, Electromagnetic compliance: board and system-level design for EMC; EMC test, debug, and remediation,
Optional:
Unix and Windows operating systems knowledge, Safety: design for safety; basic knowledge of regulatory safety standards,
Basic knowledge of the following: Mechanics, statics, dynamics, Physics, Chemistry, Properties of materials
Education and Experience:
BSEE, 4+ years experience in electrical engineering design and development
