Job Purpose:
We have a vacancy within our Sales and Marketing Department, reporting to the Business Development Director. The role is focused within the Aerospace domain.

Key Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Working as part of a team, formulate a five year sales forecast, contributing to the development of the 5 year strategy.
  • Deliver the annual budgeted sales and infill, participating in monthly progress reviews.
  • Manage key customer relationships finalising contractual and commercial negotiations.
  • Sell the company's products and capabilities by visiting existing and targeted customers in order to achieve the agreed objectives and budgeted sales as a minimum.
  • Facilitate the preparation of quotations supporting the process of bid production and submission within the business.
  • Influence and advise on Private Venture funding for the development of new products.

Personal Attributes:

  • In-depth knowledge of the relevant programmes (both military and civil, as mentioned above), UK and internationally.
  • Proven technical sales record within the military and civil environments and knowledge of OEM and MoD procurement structures.
  • Able to conduct professional commercial and technical presentations at senior levels within the customer's organization.
  • Able to manage the creation of technical and commercial bid proposals within the business.
  • Able to successfully negotiate all aspects of a proposal through to contract award and to manage multiple sales opportunities of varying complexity.
  • Energetic approach, willing to think big and target major system opportunities.
  • Degree or HNC in an engineering discipline preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentational; and IT literate.

Package:

  • Basic salary negotiable
  • Personal Bonus scheme of 20% maximum, based on profit and cash targets achieved.
  • Fully expensed motor car - £340per month lease including maintenance or £4890 per annum cash allowance alternative.
