Electronics Hardware Engineer
Electronics Hardware Design Engineer with a proven track record of delivering hardware products, especially with high speed micro-controllers (using EPLDs). Working for this leading company in the design, development, implementation and support of Embedded micro, DSP based complex multi-layer design hardware projects.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an intelligent and passionate Hardware Engineer with the ambition to join a successful international company. Working with bespoke electrical & electronic hardware products serving a wide range of industry you will have a sound understanding of related hardware electrical equipment (PCB, VHDL, FPGA etc.). Working with high-end digital signal processors you will be exposed to a wide range of technologies.
The Electronics Hardware Design Engineer will have a minimum 5 years commercial experience in designing electronic DSP based systems, with evidence of circuit board work.
Typically, you will be expected to work on multiple Hardware projects with work including:
- Hardware circuit design
- Schematic capture
- PCB layout (ideally using cadSTAR)
- PLC design
- VHDL/Verilog
- FPGA/CPLD
- EPLD
- EMC standards testing
- Hardware Design documentation
- Liaise with manufacturing
Ideally, the Hardware Design Engineer will have a degree in one of the following or something of a similar discipline Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Digital Electronics, Computer Technology, Physics.
Experience or exposure to some of the following would be ideal:
Assembler, C/C++, Embedded, Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, ARM, DSP, Xilinx, Altera, CPLD, FPGA, EPLD, Motor Control, CANBus, CANalyzer, Compilers, Analogue, Digital, PCB, ISO9001, EMC, GUI, 3D, Linux, Windows XP, Visual Basic, Visual C++, VHDL, FPGA devices, Analogue & Digital design experience.
