Our client, seen as an outright leader and a respected member of their industry, is currently diversifying and expanding their project resources to keep up with project requirements and to ensure their project goals are met without compromise on resource and capability. As such, they are now on the market for a seasoned and well traveled Test Analyst to join their QA team to work in a Senior capacity reporting directly to the Test Program Manager.

As the Senior Test Analyst you will:

• Review requirements & business process documentation Prepare for testing and hands-on test execution
• Carry out test activities in the test streams covering Unit Testing, Systems Testing and User Acceptance testing
• Work closely with both technical and business streams within the program of work to ensure all functionality meets specification

Specific Preparation and Execution activities will include:

• Analysing the requirements for allocated test levels and prepare test cases
• Preparing test environments for test execution
• Executing test cases in accordance with the test plan
• troubleshooting, defect reporting and retesting of errors
• Regression testing
• Providing feedback to the Test Manager for test summary reports

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Minimum 4-6 years testing experience working in technical, time driven and complex environments
• Experience testing enterprise scale ERP or CRM products
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in coordinating test staff & UAT staff during daily to weekly test cycles
• Strong skills in querying databases using SQL
• Basic UNIX skills
• Ability to interrogate systems to determine why the test results are not as expected
• A demonstrable knowledge of the use of HP Quality Center v10 relating to Requirements (including trace-ability), Test Plan and Test Lab
• Experience in the Defect Management cycle using HP Quality Center v10
• Ability to work closely with business representatives to define test scripts for UAT
• Demonstrable experience in System/Integration/Interface testing
• Exposure to System testing that involved interactions between different sub-systems via interfaces
• Ability to interpret the technical and design documentation that is provided by a development team
• Ability to liaise with Business Analysts and Senior Analyst/Programmers during test case planning
• Ability to mentor non-technical users through testing concepts and methodologies for UAT
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to collect and report testing metrics

This is a business critical role to the testing function and calls on someone who is practiced in working to strict time-lines and working with a diverse project office.
