Our client in Highland Heights, OH is currently seeking a Warehouse Spec IT for a 12 month contract opening.

The Warehouse Specialist is an intermediate-level position working in a warehouse environment, responsible for ensuring that physical assets (computer related equipment) managed by the IT business area are received, shipped, and accounted for in a secure and organized manner. Responsibilities include coordinating or delivering the shipment of the physical assets in a timely manner; ensuring that orders arrive and are dispatched to the appropriate destinations in a timely manner; checking order quantities for accuracy; assisting with staging logistics; shipping and receiving the physical assets; keeping the warehouse organized and items stored in their proper locations; following standard departmental processes; meeting service level agreements; documenting all transactions for audit compliance; and assisting with the liquidation program of obsolete and non-standard items, which includes preparing the documentation necessary to retire physical assets from fixed assets.

Applies acquired job skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks. Works on assignments that are routine and recognized as accepted practice. Has the ability to apply knowledge to, and make judgments about more difficult assignments. Typically receives general instructions and works under general supervision. May seek input from higher-level Warehouse Specialist and/or manager on an as needed basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Including % of Time):
90% Receives and dispatches orders in accordance with schedules and quantities. Performs daily operations, which includes the accurate fulfillment of orders, various shipping activities, staging logistics, organizing the warehouse, and ensuring the security of the assets. Follows standard departmental processes for shipping and receiving items, which includes the processing for outgoing "small jobs." May complete punch list activities or use automated scanning applications.

10% Assists with the liquidation program, which includes working with other departments to identify those assets the Company can no longer use because of noncompliance with corporate standards or poor condition; identifying and assisting with negotiations with liquidators to affect the best value of sold assets; ensuring the proper transfer of ownership to a third party to prevent liability; and working with Control departments to properly retire assets.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma with additional education and/or training, and 3-5 years of related work experience in a warehouse environment with a strong working knowledge of all warehouse functions.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Must be able and certified to operate warehouse equipment (ie, forklifts)
- Strong working knowledge of warehousing and inventory control/distribution systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with others.
- Excellent organization, time management, and customer service skills.
- The ability to operate a PC with a working knowledge of associated software, including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and Peregrine Asset Center.

- Typical warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry from 10-25 pounds, potentially up to 85 pounds.
- Typical work hours, but overtime hours may be required to complete work assignments when necessary.
- Limited local travel. Position is required to drive company vehicle to deliver assets to other facilities.
