My client is an independent healthcare provider specializing in the provision of wide ranging healthcare services to individuals throughout the UK. They have a really interesting opportunity for an experienced Interim Regional Operations Manager to help deliver and manage a significant primary care service redesign project from an operational standpoint. The successful candidate will need experience of managing and developing clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver an exceptional service with particular reference to services such as sexual health, offender health, mental health and substance misuse. The successful candidate will be used to working with senior members of PCTs, GPs, Trusts and other related stakeholders. The right candidate will also be able to develop operational plans and ensure the delivery of key performance metrics such as GP contracts, clinic utilisation and waiting times. It is also important that the right person possesses a clear understanding of business management from a financial point-of-view and how to deliver on key financial targets. The successful candidate must have large scale clinical business management and development experience gained either within independent healthcare providers or the NHS. An understanding how to run a community based multifaceted service is essential as is an understanding of key NHS targets and KPIs. In addition to the above it is important for this person to be a very strong people manager who has a track record of developing relationships in politically sensitive often unionised environments. The assignment will run for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension.
