A very interesting 18 months' contract position has arisen for my client located in Hong Kong.

You will be working in the Information Management Department as a Contract Manager.

Responsibilities required for the Contract Manager:
- Manage contract scope, service level compliance, and commercial matters as per contractual agreements - with a primary focus on Amadeus Manage supplier performance using established corporate framework, and drive continuous improvements and cost saving initiatives to maximize the value achieved from the service suppliers.
- Look for opportunities to drive continual operational improvements through the business Work closely with Finance, Revenue, and IT to identify operational management strategies and implement the same.
- Manage contract service delivery and fulfilment of the service suppliers to meet business and technical requirements.
- Support development and negotiation of contracts with detailed pricing levels, scope of work and service levels.
- Work with Finance to audit, process and approve Invoices to ensure they are accurate and in line with the contract conditions.
- Negotiate and manage contract changes in accordance with the defined process.
- Ensure effective governance processes (eg RRB, ORG etc) are in place to manage supplier performance, ongoing relationship and deliver continuous improvement.
- Manage contract renewal by work with key stakeholders to ensure new requirements are incorporated.
- Manage the relationship of the services supplier and act as the relationship manager on contract related matters.
- Oversee and initiate new sourcing project for new services or new applications or change of existing service suppliers throughout the discovery, definition, approach to market, evaluation, negotiation, due diligence and contracting phase.
- Manage budgets, service requests and ensure approved budget and saving targets are met.
- Understand market conditions and suppliers' offerings, capabilities and preferences.
- Support bench-marking exercise to ensure our service levels and costs are competitive.
- Drive and derive technology workshop and work plan with respective service suppliers to ensure the infrastructure and application platforms are adhering to EA roadmap and principles.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Corporate and Back Office Operations,

Experience required for the Contract Manager:
- Work experience in the Airlines industry important
- Previous work experience with Amadeus preferable
- 10 years experience in IT, with management experience
- Proven experience in contract management, vendor management, IT and operational efficiency projects a plus.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent influencing, negotiation and communications skills
- Proven knowledge and experience of the respective infrastructure and applications areas
- Tertiary qualifications are essential, preferably IT and/or business at a post-graduate level
- Excellent people leadership with strong coaching skills
- Experience developing and negotiating service level agreements
- Knowledge and experience in ITIL is desirable
- Proven ability in driving change to effect substantial efficiency and effectiveness gains
- Proven ability to effectively manage relationships by facilitating and influencing decision making
