Overall responsibility for the smooth and profitable operation of the resorts operating interests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Achievement of Financial trading targets
Development, direction and supervision of Staff
Product delivery to satisfy guest expectations
Routine adherence to statutory obligations and issues of due care
Corporate Reporting to Best Management Group standards
Development and maintenance of quality professional relationships with unit owners and stakeholders
Present the property and all staff to the highest reasonable standards
DUTIES
Identify issues and opportunities to improve the overall revenue and profit performance of resort business interests
Monitor targeted performance of operating costs and report accordingly
Daily inspection of the properties and surrounds
Monitor staff attendance, presentation and punctuality
Be familiar and involved with the trading pattern of the property, including highlights of daily arrivals and departures; communication of same to all relevant parties
Analyse daily trading figures and internal reports, provide succinct, meaningful commentary and report accordingly on a daily basis to head office.
Review and reforecast demands on the business on a daily basis to ensure appropriate levels of planning and resources are applied
Measure guest satisfaction and respond accordingly
Liaise on a daily basis with each staff member to communicate priorities and address outstanding issues and opportunities
Develop and maintain a rapport with guests by being present at property hot spots routinely (eg Breakfast, Check In/Out)
Timely reporting that summarises business issues in an agreed format to satisfy Best Management Group requirements.
Progress with other business priorities and projects.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Restricted Letting License (Qld) or ability and willingness to acquire same quickly in own time and at own expense. Also; RMLV or Approved Manager Experience in management of mid size hotel or resort properties
Demonstrable profit generation and business improvement experience
Destination marketing experience
Advanced written and numeric skills
