One of our clients, a top tier Investment Bank, is looking for an experienced Regulatory Accountant to join their ALM (Asset Liability Management) Team. The team is part of the Global Finance function and deals with balance sheet risk management (mainly liquidity and funding risk, structural interest rate risk and structural FX risk), the pricing of balance sheet risks, as well as the allocation of balance sheet resources (capital and funding).

ALM is responsible for the policies that underpin many aspects of this balance sheet strength, particularly liquidity and funding requirements. In addition to formulating ALM policies, ALM also assists Group entities in the identification and measurement of ALM issues and ensures that senior executives are kept informed of all key ALM matters. It is also the secretarial support function for the Group's Risk Management Meeting. Being part of this team allows you to gain an excellent understanding of how the Group's many businesses work and to be involved in determining the appropriate structures of the many balance sheets on which these businesses operate.

Role Responsibilities:

-Assistance with implementation and review of liquidity risk premium management, liquidity recharge framework and behaviouralisation
-Assistance with communication of liquidity premium framework and its roll out across the Global businesses
-Assistance with involvement in external regulatory consultations as required
-Monthly collation, review and submission of two FSA returns for 7 major sites across the Group; further enhancement of reporting processes, quality of returns and analysis of results

Principal Accountabilities:

-To assist in the development of, and roll out of, the liquidity premium framework
-To manage the review and submission of Liquidity-related FSA returns (FSA047 Daily Flows and FSA048 Enhanced Mismatch Report) produced by 7 major sites of the Group
-To analyse trends and other key features of the data, particularly through comparison to non-FSA related reports and through other means; to improve the control environment surrounding the production and submission of returns
-To contribute towards the Liquidity Reporting Project as a subject matter expert as required
-To assist in the involvement of the Group in external regulatory consultations as required

Essential Experience:

-Knowledge of asset and liability management an advantage
-Good understanding of financial products, particularly investment banking and retail products
-Experience of running a process within a control framework
