Description
Software Architect- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define the architecture and strategy of a scalable web-based content management/E-commerce platform.
- Develop detailed design documents for use in development sprints.
- Review and coordinate development activities.
- Work with product managers to define technical solutions for the business units long term and short term strategic objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and provide innovative ways to integrate with existing platform.
- Assist development and quality assurance team members in their duties, tasks, responsibilities and functions.
- Monitor the progress of development and testing.
- Possess excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making and communication skills
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years experience designing and implementing solutions that leverage a Content Management System.
- 3-5 years programming experience in Java and JavaScript/AJAX (strong OO skills preferred).
- Social media integration
- 1-2 years programming experience in a full Software Development life cycle environment
- Mobile App/web experience a plus
- Experience with the AGILE project development methodology.
- Experience with the utilization of near or offshore development.
- BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
8:00am to 5:00pm.
