Position: Software Engineer
Description:
Looking for 5 - 10 years experienced software engineer to work in a projects involving development of Java based application, web-based application development and enhancement/maintenance of existing applications.
The successful candidate will join a team to work on projects involving advanced data analytics. Excellent working knowledge of Java and J2EE based application development coupled with experience WebSphere, Rational and Information management. Ability to work in rapid prototyping/development environment is a plus.
The candidate must have a valid legal status to work and live in the US and must be willing to relocate to the tri-state area.
Technical Skills:
Strong object-oriented design and development with experience in web-based GUI development
Solid knowledge & experience in Java based web application development including J2EE, DoJo, SDO/WDO
Proficiency in developing applications on Rational Application Developer (RAD) and deployment on WebSphere Server (WAS) is required
Experience with WebSphere Portal development
Good understanding of DB design, query writing and query performance tuning and managing large amounts of data and performing basic DB maintenance tasks
Experience with Cogons reporting and GIS application development is a plus

Clear communication and documentation of technical specifications
