Description
Systems Integration Engineer responsible for integrating Enterprise software with Microsoft technologies in the data center and Microsoft Cloud Services. This is a hands-on position and the successful candidate will be responsible for defining the System Requirements & Design, holding Design Reviews, Implementation, Validation &Verification (Internal Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing), Setup and Configuration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather and analyze system requirements
Plan and estimate systems engineering work tasks
Research, evaluate and specify system technologies and components
Write function specifications, technical designs and other systems engineering plans and documents
Set up Microsoft Windows-based Servers in high-availability configurations, including configuration of load balancing and clustering
Set up database Servers using Microsoft SQL Server in high-availability and distributed configurations
Securing Windows and SQL Server based systems
Analyze reliability, maintainability and testability of system designs
Develop and execute test plans and procedures
Conduct systems engineering reviews and workshops
Provide post production support
Analyze the impact and estimate the work in response to change proposals
REQUIRED SKILLS:
System design and developing requirements and design documents
Installing Windows in load balanced and clustered environments
Installing SQL Server in clustered environments
Installing and configuring web applications and web services using Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
Experience designing and building systems for extremely high traffic and transaction volumes
Developing and executing test plans and procedures
Hands-on experience with above technologies
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with systems implementing Microsoft Sync Framework and synchronization concepts
Knowledge and experience working in CMMI Level 3 engineering environments
Experience securing Windows and SQL Server based systems
Knowledge and experience with web services and queuing systems
Experience with cloud services
Experience designing and deploying systems for the US DoD
Experience with Fuels Manager suite of products
Experience with Hand Held devices
Experience with Hyper-V virtual Servers
Experience with SAN Arrays

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
B.S. or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
8+ years in systems integration experience
CLEARANCE:
Must be capable of obtaining an US Government IT2 clearance
US citizen only
