We're seeking highly experienced Microsoft Engineers who can provide tier 2 support of business critical services and systems. Your core focus will be to provide technical leadership and mentoring to the junior team members.
As a Senior systems support officer you'll be required to:
- Develop work instructions and other system documentation to ensure the successful implementation of system administration and management of new systems.
- Provide analysis, design and implementation of system monitoring and reporting components;
- Undertake skills transfer as required and successfully transition deliverables to internal and external support groups; and
- Analyse and improve processes and procedures
- Actively participate in the identification of operational system and project related risks and issues;
- Provide a high level of technical expertise, advice and services to customers
- Provide a high level of technical leadership and mentor ICT professionals;
- Undertake change management activities associated with system support;
- Work within and monitor the established Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes used within the Command Centre;
You will have the ability to implement, monitor and evaluate IM/IT processes, plans and procedures based on the ITIL standards and provide advice and guidance of these procedures; and be technically competent with complex IT systems involving:
Essential:
- Windows Server 2003
- Microsoft Windows Clustering
- Server and application monitoring tools
(examples: MOM, HP Openview) - Microsoft Windows XP
- Enterprise application support
Highly Desirable:
- Oracle 11g enterprise support
- Microsoft Operations Manager 2005/SCOM 2007
- MS Project

- CRM/Records Management application support
