Our client in Chantilly, VA is currently seeking Lead Tools Engineer and Administrator for a multi-year contract opening.

Job Description
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, and 5 years relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
The Lead Tools Engineer and Administrator responsibilities will include being responsible for the Service Center Tool Suite. He/she will be responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems in conjunction with maintaining software systems and the team's products including, but not limited to, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Requires the application of the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Consults with electrical or mechanical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software and operational performance requirements of the overall system. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming and documentation. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong work ethic.
  • DoD 8570 Security+ Certification
  • Application Design, Application Development, Application Configuration, Application Testing, Application Deploy/Patch, Backup/Restore, Database Administration, Problem Solving

Desired Skills:

  • Net +certification. Desire to exceed customer expectations, desire to advance in one's career, strong commitment to program goals and deliverables. Experience with this client.
  • SDLC experience with enterprise COTS platforms and Java highly desired.

Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI and be willing to take and pass a CI Polygraph if requested.
