Position Description:
The Sr. Technical Project Management - Finance will manage custom software development and enhancements to existing systems. The financial systems are heavily customized but based on Oracle/SAP. Drive business requirements, building out charters & work plans, creating or working with process documentation, managing resources & scheduling.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Senior technical project management skills - 10+ years overall experience
- Experience managing customization of financial/accounting systems required.
- Software development background required.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, information and data flows, including understanding upstream and downstream processes
- Receivables
- Payables
- GL
- Quote to Cash; Procure to Pay processes
- Experience with Oracle EBS or SAP Financials
- Experience with financial system integration areas and complexities preferred
- Ability to work and communicate with financial/accounting personnel, plus cross-functional groups who work closely with finance/accounting personnel, including both internal and external resources
- Executive presence - ability to be autonomous and lead the project team, plus ability to interact effectively with senior management
- Strong communication skills including with project team members and senior management
- Experience working with financial systems and processes at other clients/industries and can bring different perspectives, lessons learned and leading practices from a financial system and process perspective
