Description
Candle are currently seeking a number of Systems/Computer Operators, initial short term contract with a high chance it will be ongoing.Main responsibilities:
- Provide first level hardware support for Network, Sun, IBM/HP Servers and Clients owned hardware under direction of Clients staff.
- Handling Daily Tape rotation as defined by Clients tape handling and management procedures, including server/storage/email/voice recording systems.
- Daily Morning check and reporting of equipment hardware status (Visual check).
- Provide Level 0 support for network, SAN Switches, Market data equipment etc. (ie LED inspection and reporting)
- HP & IBM hardware certification (OR familiarity of parts replacement)
- Cisco CCNA or above preferred
- Experience of hardware fault analysis.
- Ability to understand & learn different hardware & parts replacement procedure.
- Good documenting skills.
- Communication skills both oral and written English
