Strongly Desired-Programming Language(s)-C++. Database Expertise-Oracle. Hardware/Network/Protocol-SS7, GSM Signaling (MAP/CAP), HTTP. Optional-Programming Language(s)-JAVA, PHP. Hardware/Network/Protocol-SNMP. Other-SIP Client Expertise.Overview-Support efforts within Application Development to further the organization with its Wi-Fi convergence initiatives. Knowledge of SIP and Java, with emphasis on VoIP and messaging is required. Strong SS7 knowledge, particularly with GSM MAP and IS-41 is a plus.
Follow the complete SDLC process including:
Requirements, High-level/Detailed Designs, System test plans, Release Notes, Creating and executing test scripts to validate application throughput and fault-tolerance.
Develop and support convergence platform for SIP-SS7 gateway/call processor in a high availability, fault tolerant environment.
Ability to assist with the configuration of network elements and applications as required to execute tests of new service features
Advanced knowledge of C, C++, PHP, and HTTP a plus.
High degree of UNIX/Linux system administration skills.
Knowledge of MySQL needed and Oracle a plus.
Ability to adapt and learn new protocols quickly
Become familiar with IMS components (S-CSCF, I-CSCF, P-CSCF, HSS)
Good oral and written communications skills
Experience in Real Time application development leveraging PThreads.
