Position: Quality Inspector
Location: Sheffield

duration: Initially temporary but may become permanent
Located in Sheffield, our client a medium/Large engineering firm are looking to appoint an experienced quality inspector. The main purpose of the role is the inspection of products in line with prescribed criteria, which includes both measurement and visual appraisal to verify conformity of various products & welded sub assemblies to specification and drawing, during production, post production and final inspection stages and also to identify and report on instances of non-conformance, in line with documented procedures.
Main duties are Patrol Inspections which include:
* Goods Inwards Inspection
* In process Inspection
* Final inspection
Person Specification
* A sound experience of carrying out component inspection using various pieces of measuring equipment for example micrometers, digital verniers, surface roughness testers etc.
* Ideally experience will have been gained within a fabrication & welding environment.
* Able to read engineering drawings
* Must be computer literate or be willing to undergo training
* Must possess the ability to work unsupervised.
* Must be able to liaise with staff at all levels within the Company
* Manual CMM or Laser QC inspection experience would also be desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
