Experis IT is an EOE. We are currently seeking a Secret Cleared Mainframe Modernization System Architect.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
System architect or senior developer with more than six years of experience with IBM Mainframe applications, systems, and data, including strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, ADS/Online, Culprit, and IDMS
Experience inventorying and analyzing IBM Mainframe applications and systems using both automated and non-automated methods.
Experience with the Micro Focus Modernization Workbench automated Mainframe analysis tool
Experience modernizing Legacy Mainframe applications and strong understanding of modern compute architectures and platforms. Must have experience with n-tier architecture, full software development life cycle and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) techniques and technologies.
Experience in Object Oriented application design and development with.NET technologies (preferably ASP.NET and C#), including web-based GUI design and development.
Strong team player, Analytical skills, Delivery focused
Experience supporting documentation of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle, including The Requirements Traceability Matrix (TRM), System Design Document (SDD), Logical Design Document (LDD), System Requirements Document (SRD), and System Architecture
Understanding business and functional requirement specifications and producing detailed designs and functional application code confirming to coding standards and practices under the direction of team lead and software development manager.
Demonstrated ability to create data flow diagrams, class diagrams, and object models
Working with other team members and team lead understanding design documents, preparing and updating class diagrams, sequence diagrams and other design documents.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher with 6 years minimum experience in a systems architect or senior developer role with IBM Mainframe and Mainframe application modernization experience.
4. Milestones and Deliverables
The milestones and deliverables will be determined according to the USSS Mainframe Modernization project plans and project schedules.
5. Other Responsibilities
Candidates must have and be able to maintain throughout the period of performance a minimum of a Department of Defense SECRET clearance

Personnel must have a working knowledge of the Software Engineering Institutes (SEI) Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI) methodology
