Swap Engineer

Description

SWAP ENGINEER Superb opportunity to work as a Swap Engineer for major TELCO in Melbourne CBD. It is a 12 month contract. You will be maintaining and managing the field engineers and co-ordinating swap, installation, testing and integration (including safety, quality and scheduled acceptance) of telco sites and associated infrastructure. Projected Technical Environment

• Transmission  network sites including PDH/SDH/IP microwave, DWDM, carrier Ethernet, PTN etc
• Mobile network sites including core, OSS, RAN equipment.
• Datacomms sites including Router, hub, switch etc
• Fixed network sites including NGN

Key responsibilities:

• Manage site swap, delivery performance management and supervision of the subcontractors including base station and/or transmission equipment installation and commissioning.
• Ensure any materials required for RAN swap are made available
• Handling and coordinating of site swap
• Report to deployment manager with daily/weekly report
• Coordinate the efficient utilisation of all associated resources including internal staff, installation teams,customer Network Integration Centre and Transmission Integration Centre resources

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience as a Senior technician on large scale projects of swapping RAN sites. You will have solid working knowledge of 2G,3G and transmission networks. If you have the desired skills please forward your Resume.
