Due to strong continued growth our client has the need for Lead Mechanical Designer to join its Brisbane based office to work with engineering leads across all disciplines on large multi-million dollar mining projects.
Main Responsibilities for the role include:
Assisting the Lead Mechanical Engineer to ensure designer resource requirements meet current and future workload
Actively involved in the development of design concepts
Working to corporate, client and project specific procedures
Coordinating all drafting activities within the office projects,
Ensure effective communications with all discipline drafters and the engineers
Mentoring other designers and identify the training need of all discipline designers
To be successful you will offer:
Previous experience in the use of Microstation and AutoCAD
Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent recognised qualification
Relevant industry experience with an understanding of safety requirements and unique design properties
