CAD Co-ordinator
Effectively works within the Design team, to successfully achieve agreed goals and objectives relating to the physical layout of Mechanical & Electrical Services in relation to the Building Structure.
Be fully conversant with the Departmental and Company Method Statements, associated guidance manuals and technical standards/regulations relevant to the Design & Technical Engineering needs of the Company.
Understand how to correctly interpret and use the information portrayed on Architectural and Structural Drawings (including details and sections).
Working from designers/engineers calculations and/or rough sketches/drawings produce accurate and structured drawings suitable for final issue that incorporates/considers CDm, maintenance and access needs.
The ability to produce fully co-ordinated service drawings/details in a manner that allows the benefits of prefabrication to be fully exploited and resolve co-ordination issues with designers, engineers and architects, maintaining an awareness of the effects and cost implications of making changes.
Possess appropriate experience and knowledge with respect to services support systems. (including vibrational mountings, plinth details, fixings, brackets, support frames etc.)
Visit sites as required in order to measure/survey building structure and/or to determine the extent of existing building services which may interface with future works.
Maintain correct and orderly documentation in order that relevant personnel can readily and easily access required information.
Must be competent in MEP 3D CAD software and Microstation software
