Description
My Gibraltar based client is looking for an experienced DBA with SQL Server administration expertise to join a small but friendly team:
- SQL Server, MySQL. Informix is highly desirable.
- Broad understanding of database architectures and the latest database technologies
- Experience in implementing database backup solutions and performing database recovery
- Experience in implementing and interpreting database monitoring
- Experience of performing database andquery performance tuning
- Capable of installing and patching RDBMS software across a number of platforms
- Capable of capturing and assisting with database sizing and capacity planning
- Highly focused on providing service with a diligent, meticulous and reliable approach to all work undertaken
- A self motivated individual who can manage himself/herself and work as the DBA expert within a project team
- Broad understanding of the requirements for OLTP and Datawarehouse systems
- Datamodelling and database design experience
- Good understanding of query and procedural database codes.
