Commercial Manager - quantity surveying/negotiator- based in york
A large national, well known rail company are currently looking to recruit a commercial manager
-*Pre-Contract you will need to be an effective and proven negotiator, together with knowledge of procurement and relevant EU Utilities Regulations. You will undertake the preparation and evaluation of tender documents and negotiation of contracts.
-*Post Contract you will assist the project delivery team by advising on contract changes and recommending appropriate action to mitigate commercial risk to The Rail company. You will be required to provide effective contract management by overseeing the work of our contractors to ensure that optimum standards are achieved and value for money are ensured across a range of projects.
You will provide cost reporting and lead the assessment and valuation of applications in accordance with the company's' processes, and commensurate with contractual entitlement.
It is desirable you have extensive experience around 7 years. We are looking for you to hold a degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
