My client, a local authority based in the North of England currently requires an Interim Category Manager for Children's Services. This is a 6 month role with the potential for extension

Reporting to the Head of Procurement within this large Council, the successful candidate will be required to work closely with Commissioning colleagues to ensure that the appropriate category management processes and procedures are being adhered to.

You will also be required to support Associate Directors within the Children & Young People's Services area.

The ideal candidate will be CIPS qualified and will have a category management background within the local government arena. Experience within the Children or Young People's Services area is strongly preferred.

On offer is the opportunity to join a reputable team within a large local authority. There is also the potential for this role to be longer term, based on excellent performance.
