Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing Engineer - 6 months Renewable - Urgent Requirement

Role:
Working for a global Medical Devices organisation in Hampshire, you'll be employed to conduct Manufacturing Engineering activities to support the department's Component Obsolescence Replacement programme.

Specific Tasks:
* Source replacements for over 100 obsolete components
* Conduct fault-finding activities to component level
* Confirm quality and safety of new components introduced - the products (infusion pumps) are safety-critical.
* Complete detailed documentation to support the audit trail for all components.
* Verification and Validation work

Essential to Success:
* A background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Not necessarily Medical Devices)
* Experience of conducting light-assembly work.
* Exposure to a highly regulated industry, such as Medical Devices, Aerospace or Pharmaceuticals.

Desirable Qualities:
* Experience of a Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing Environment.

My client is seeking an Engineer on a six month contract basis. There is a strong likelihood of renewal once the contract expires.
