Description
Finance Manager - Regulatory Reporting required for a contract role in Bristol. The role is for an initial 6 months and the rates range from £250 - £300 per day.
Role Definition
To lead the evaluation, design, development, testing and implementation of financial systems, ensuring the effective delivery of high-risk projects to meet user needs.
Knowledge Required
- Understanding of Basel 2 calculations (standardised, foundation & advanced)
- BIPRU (FSA sourcebook), regulatory reporting requirements and IFRS
- End to end knowledge LBG reporting and operational systems
- Understanding of Commercial, Corporate Banking, Wholesale Markets and Treasury & Trading balance sheet and products
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, ACMA).
- Audit and SOX experience an advantage.

Analytical skills
- The ability to understand quickly understand and document complex processes.
Stakeholder management
- Experienced in managing and influencing a variety of stakeholders (Auditors, Risk, Feed Providers, Integration Teams).
Business Knowledge
- Knowledge of Wholesale Banking products and services.
Technical
- Experience of working in a strict financial control environment (SOX experience desirable).
- Understanding of FSA Basel 2 calculations and reporting.
System
- Familiarity with banking operational and reporting systems.
- Skilled Microsoft Office user (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access and Visio).
