Position Summary
CCCi has an immediate 5 month contract opportunity for a Senior Software UI Engineer at our client in Lake Mary, FL. The selected individual will be responsible for the design of UI components and their interfaces in support of our clients various business requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Design UI components and their interfaces in support of business requirements
- Develop high quality code to support technical architecture and design
- Participate and contribute to an effective software development life cycle
- Accurately estimate time and resources for software development efforts
- Incorporate unit testing practices into software development process
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 6+ years' experience in software UI design and development.
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience with Adobe Flex 3.x or higher.
- Experience with one of the following programming languages: Java, C#, or C++.
- Experience developing rich web application user interfaces using frameworks/libraries like GWT, ExtJS, ASP.NET/ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, Mootools, Dojo, Sproutcore, etc.
- Experience with at least one major user interface framework like WPF, Silverlight, Swing, GTK+, Winforms, Cocoa, UIKit, Qt, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Object Oriented Analysis and design experience.
- Ability to understand business and technical requirements
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Adobe Flex application development using the Flex 3.x SDK or higher.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum
- Experience with developing custom UI components in either Flex or another UI framework such as WPF
- Familiarity with software usability/human factors/user interaction engineering
- Experience with RESTful web services, SOAP, and/or BlazeDS
- Experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL
- Experience with Scripting languages like Ruby, Python, or Groovy
- Experience with the following Graphics applications: Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent documentation skills.
