Title: SharePoint Migration Consultant
Location: Atlanta, GA
Type: 4 Month Contract
Position Summary
CCCi’s client has an immediate need for a SharePoint Migration consultant to assist with their migration from 2007 to 2010. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to assist the current SharePoint team with the migration planning, designs and hierarchies as well as make recommendations on migration plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and prepare all sites and sub-sites for the migration
- Suggest improvements for SharePoint 2007 and 2010 environments
- Deploy SharePoint sites, applications and solutions as required
- Provide product support to users and stakeholders including: content managers, portal owners, software quality assurance, applications development, and applications support teams.
- Make recommendations for migration plans, hierarchies, and designs
- Perform capacity planning to ensure adequate availability and performance.
- Support Servers associated with SharePoint
- Additional SharePoint responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Basic Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Computer Engineering, or related experience
- Hands on experience with migrations from SharePoint 2007 to 2010
- 2+ years’ experience deploying, administering, and maintaining SharePoint 2010 environments of at least 250+ users.
- Server integration and engineering experience
- Experience with Windows Server & Active Directory
- Experience with design layouts, templates, sites and sub-sites
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and be team oriented.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and implement them effectively
- Excellent problem solving skills and customer support skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
Preferred Requirements
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft server technologies
