U/BL (Business Basic) Programmer
Atlanta based corporation is seeking a U/BL Business Basic programmer to support data reformatting and transfer from Legacy Business Basic ISAM application to Oracle as the company implements a new order management system. This contract is 5-6 months and could possibly extend longer. Developed from the hugely successful UBB - Universal Business Basic - product, U/BL is the next step in Business Basic programming.
U/BL provide for Rapid Application Development (RAD). U/BL's powerful features include shared procedures, enabling users to create encapsulated libraries as RAD building blocks. In addition, U/BL supports Embedded SQL file I/O for non-relational and relational data, providing rapid reporting and database independence.
You will modify and enhance an existing application written in U/BL. Plus you will troubleshoot this key application as you convert the data. A patient inquisitive attitude is needed. You will also learn new technologie.
