Description

The hardware engineering technician is responsible for the hardware design and manufacture of SSB controls packages and panels. Based upon input provided, the hardware engineering technician will develop bills of materials; create AutoCADE/NEWS schematics, and be the primary engineering interface with Rockwell Automation manufacturing facilities building SSB control packages.

Key Requirements: Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Minimally 8 years experience in hardware engineering related to information or automation systems.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
Must have excellent conflict resolution skills.
Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays to meet customer project commitments.
Must perform duties in the office as part of a project team.
Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
Solid understanding of controls hardware.

Job Summary: Provides updates to project manager/leader pertaining to status of activities, performance to schedule and performance to budget for own activities.
Builds relationships at the technical level with Rockwell customers and manufacturing locations.
May perform detailed system design activities
Responsible for meeting project schedule, engineering hour budgets, and customer satisfaction targets for own activities in support of the project team.
May provide support of proposal efforts.
Creation of AutoCAD schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and other Rockwell Automation tools and procedures.
Perform tasks required to build SSB hardware solutions in RA or other manufacturing facilities using established tools, procedures, and documents.
Responsible for following all applicable corporate, company, governmental and regulatory policies and procedures as appropriate for this position.
Supports an environment conducive to customer satisfaction.
