This role as Senior Business Analyst (ERP) provides a real opportunity to contribute to a significant and challenging program of work with a national impact. At the same time, you will be working in an organisation with a strong commitment to the development of its people.
This role will report directly to the Program Manager - Integration.
The Position:
- Work with subject matter experts and IT professionals within the Project Office and other external organisations to define current state business processes, systems and data models.
- Work with key stakeholders and team members, through a process of interviews, workshops and research, to elicit requirements
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Define the business, user and functional/non-functional requirements and the creation of use cases and other supporting documentation in a fashion that provides traceability
- Assist the Program Manager to manage user expectations, evaluate and manage the quality of third party products, identify and manage risks and prepare specific project communications.
- Assist in the establishment of a whole of project requirements management framework (methodology, tools and processes).
The Person:
- Experience in ERP solutions in particular Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), financial and accounting systems, procurement and information management systems - with specific reference to those supporting IT/IM divisions - and CRM, etc.
- Experience in business and process analysis and design of large scale applications within an application development, commercial off the shelf, and support environment within a large complex organisation.
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of contemporary business analysis and process modelling techniques as well as substantial experience in the development of high quality user technical documentation
- High level of research, conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, as evidenced by the ability to research complex situations or issues including policy problems, and develop options, strategies or recommendations to achieve desired outcomes.
