Position: Vehicle Fitter and Plant Fitters
Location: Bradford
Salary: £ per hour + holiday pay + overtime
Our client is a leading supplier of road tanker discharge equipment and on board power for highway and utility vehicles and powered access equipment. We are currently looking to strengthen their existing work force with experienced vehicle and plant fitters.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle modifications and upgrades to vehicles ranging from SUV's through to Transits and HGV's. Such, as the assembly and installation of access platforms and under chassis fitting. The work will be varied and require somebody with the ability to problem solve.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Previous LGV/HGV, plant fitting, hydraulic or mechanical fitting experience
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
An understanding of hydraulics and/or pneumatics and their interface to commercial vehicles
The ability to interpret engineering drawings
The ability to problem solve and think on your feet
Served a recognised apprenticeship
These position are initially on an on-going temporary basis but may become longer term or permanent for the right candidate.
