Swim Social Work Recruitment are looking to recruit an Senior Social Worker to join an Older Peoples/Hospital Team based in Hounslow. This is a full time, temporary post for 3 months.Your job will be;
*To assist in the management of a multi-disciplinary community mental health team for older people.
*To contribute to the development of service provision.
*To carry a small caseload.
*To maintain the warrant and perform the duties of a Senior Social Worker and perform the duties of a Senior Social Worker.
*To supervise other staff, including social workers, community workers, social work assistants etc
*To perform all duties with due regard to the council's principles of Customer Care.
*To be aware of appropriate financial procedures.
*To meet service standards as agreed with the Team Manager and Senior Management Team.
*To contribute to new service developments and to ensure that new initiatives are responsive to the needs of all customers.
*To ensure the provision of a social work service as agreed in care plans and in accordance with departmental and NHS Trust policies and priorities.
*To be responsible for assuring the maintenance of quality standards in older people/hospital social work practice and service delivery to customers.
*To use regular supervision to provide an effective quality service to users and carers, including the promotion of user involvement and to promote professional development.
*To participate in and chair meetings as required
