CCCi is seeking a senior network engineers to design, install, and operate the network infrastructure which interconnects subsidiaries of companies and provide the following services MPLS WAN, Internet access and core data center networking. Senior network engineers develop and maintain network technology standards, IP schemes, ARIN address assignments and act as consultants on many other projects, ranging from online benefits enrollment to unified messaging and voice communications.

Senior engineers handle moves, adds and changes (MAC) for the entire network and respond to critical incidents involving network failures. They provide second and third level expertise for troubleshooting teams, whether directly related to network problems or as part of a team with multiple skill sets.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Interface with internal customers to understand their network needs and implement procedures and systems to accommodate them
  • Build customer confidence by meeting project deadlines and providing excellent uptime
  • Serve as an internal network engineering consultant to the subsidiaries of companies
  • Monitor internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
  • Develop disaster recovery (DR) plans for network systems and participate in tests
  • Configure, deploy and maintain network devices
  • Resolve network related incidents passed to engineers by the help desk within SLA
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

Qualifications:

  • BS in Technology-related field, equivalent work or military experience
  • 10 years of progressive experience with internetworking equipment
  • Minimum Cisco CCNP certification, CCIE strongly preferred
  • Must possess proven ability as a member of an engineering support team and be able to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic work environment.
  • Current experience with Cisco network devices, especially access control lists (ACL), spanning-tree (STP), Virtual Route Forwarders (VRF), BGP and EIGRP routing protocols
  • Current experience with network management tools such as Nagios, Lucent Vital Suite and Ciscoworks
  • Expert knowledge of all aspects of TCP/IP, with developing knowledge of IPv6
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Catalyst 6500 series Switches
  • Excellent experience with ad hoc troubleshooting tools
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with Ciena Series 4200 DWDM fiber transport equipment a plus

Required skills:
