Our Client, one of Queensland's largest organisations is looking for a Principal Project Manager/Infrastructure Team Lead to manage a technical project team in the design and build activities required for the successful delivery of the GroupWise to Exchange Migration Program they are undergoing. This will be a 6 month Contract position with possible extensions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountability for the successful delivery of a new Exchange 2007 Prod & DR including the operational support handover to BAU environment including Archiving, AV, IDM, Content Filtering, mobile devices and OCS
  • Management of the deployment of any necessary Domain Controllers
  • Management of a technical project team
  • Detailed planning of all design and build activities
  • Management of the production of all necessary technical, handover and operational support documentation to enable a successful transition
  • Liaison with CITEC to ensure close alignment with the CITEC Architecture
  • Manage, appraise and monitor the performance of all project staff and provide fair treatment, direction and development where necessary to ensure that operational effectiveness is maintained and project objectives achieved
ORGANISATIONAL DUTIES:
  • Contribute to the effective management of the Information Division by adhering to relevant financial management and quality management practices
  • Discharge responsibilities of the position with reference to employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
  • Ensure that information is managed in accordance with Departmental Information Security policy and Standards; in order to ensure its confidentiality, availability and integrity.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform the requirements of the role within a large, complex and geographically disperse ICT environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, ethical behaviour and occupational health and safety.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
  • Proven Experience with those Microsoft technologies used to underpin Exchange (eg Active Directory, MIIS etc)
  • Proven experienced in managing the design, build and implementation of e-mail Disaster Recovery capabilities.
  • Direct experience in managing an Enterprise (5,000+ mailboxes) Exchange e-mail development or Integration project, preferably with Migration activities using a third party migration tool.
  • Proven experience with integrating third party technologies into Exchange (eg e-mail Archiving solution, Anti-Virus, Content Filtering etc).
  • Proven experience in managing large teams of technical staff to design, build, test and implement technology solutions.
