Oracle Financial DBA - Nashville, TN
Position Overview:
Client requires database administration services for two (2) applications using the Oracle database software. The two applications are Oracle Financials and Empath.
Oracle Financials (Release 12.1.3 and including GL, AP, FA, PO, Cash Management):
- Production database (FINP)
Database version 11G. Operates from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM CST Monday - Friday. Weekend work will be necessary at times for closing schedule requirements. Full backup's performed daily using RMAN. Enterprise Manager installed and available for DBA tasks.
Empath:
- Production database (PRODPAY)
Database version 11G. Operates from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM CST Monday - Friday. Weekend work will be necessary at times for closing schedule requirements. Full backup's performed daily using RMAN. Enterprise Manager installed and available for DBA tasks.
Oracle Database Administration Services Requested:
Database monitoring and space management. Patch application. Database cloning. Database upgrade, as needed. Weekly, perform database health check. Review database and application logs. Monitor and maintain space utilization. Identify, and notify client and/or address potential database issues. As requested, respond to database and/or Oracle Applications issues and requests such as:- Concurrent manager issues.
- Locked records and/or hung sessions.
- Concurrent process failures for database-related issues.
- Table creation, modification and/or update.
- Printer issue diagnosis and when appropriate, resolution.
- Test database clone/refresh from a client backup restore which serves to "test" the backup.
Periodically, provide client with database administration planning information including:- Review of Oracle's patch releases as they apply to the client environment with suggested actions for client review.
- Additional services may be requested on an as needed basis:
- Database and/or oracle Financials patch application.
- Assistance with database recovery and/or resolution of data corruption issues.
- Planning, preparation, and other database administration services as needed to support a database and/or Oracle Financials upgrade, new application implementation.
