Senior Business Analyst - Operations, Change Management, sanctions, Actimize

This role will provide business analysis to the AML implementation projects under the management of the Compliance IT team supporting the Wealth business area.

This will include but not be limited to requirements gathering, functional specification, data analysis, test planning and execution, reporting, preparation and co-ordination of system rollouts.

Additionally, the role will support the Compliance IT Project Managers in project planning, initiation, tracking and delivery activities.

MUST have a working knowledge of Actimize.

Your position will involve Support system implementations through the project life cycle (analysis/design, testing, rollout and hand-over) working with other teams on a local and global basis.
* Identify analysis activities and deliver them to agreed timescales
* Identify appropriate test scenarios for changes/defects and execute them, where required
* Work on multiple work streams in parallel.
* Ensure all work meets prescribed standards in design and quality.
* Document all work and communications to a high professional standard.
* Provide Project Management support as required.

The initial contract will run for 6 months, however, because of the overall size of the programme and what needs to be achieved, this is very likely to be extended.

* Experience in working in the AML area either in IT or the Business
* Requirements gathering, analysis and functional design using a recognised methodology.
* Writing Business & Technical documentation.
* End-to-end life cycle experience of systems development & implementation projects
* Multi-tasking/balancing parallel workloads
* Testing experience
* Data analysis/manipulation
* Ability to identify, attempt to rectify and appropriately escalate issues and risks
* Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
* Precise (attention to detail)
* Good communication skills - clearly via e-mails, telephone, in meetings and via formal
* Must be able to work effectively either independently and as a team member
* Self starter & highly motivated
* Deliver high quality, professional work to specification and with little guidance at fast turn-around
* A "can do" attitude- willingness to accept challenges and solve problem
* Workflow/Process flows analysis & design
* Testing/Quality Assurance
* Familiarity with common investment banking and development technologies
* MS Excel - Intermediate
* Visio - Intermediate
* MS Word - Intermediate
* MS PowerPoint - Intermediate
* SQL - awareness
