Fault Management Engineer/Field engineer/TETRA site experience

We are looking for two experienced TETRA site engineers. You must have extensive experience with TETRA sites preferably Motorola MTS. You must understand all site elements including feeder measurements and be able to guide sub contractors in their work on the site.

As part of the NOC/NCM Fault management team you will be responsible for helping correct faults in the BSS. Experience from working with fault management and first line maintenance is ideal.

Your job will be on 24/7 on-call rotation and will be partly from the office in Oslo and partly on site.

Responsibilities
As member of the Fault Management group take part in:
-Problem and Incident management for the radio and transmission part of Nodnett. This will include liaising with the customers.
- Maintenance and optimisation of internal procedures
- Training/enabling of NOC personnel
- 24/7 on-call duty rotation

Act as point-of-contact towards first line maintenance supplier

Support and participate in temporary projects and workgroups related to project

Required skills

General Requirements:

  • Master of Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Radio- and Transmission systems Networks
  • Experience within supporting positions
  • Result- and customer oriented
  • Experience with Motorola sites - MTS

Competencies needed:

  • Motorola DiMetra solutions, especially EBTS/MTS and use of applications in PRNM suite such as ZCM, UCM etc
  • Tetra terminal (fleetmap, code plugs, etc), Motorola Scout,
  • Anritsu Sitemaster (or similar), Aeroflex 3900 series, CatchAll
  • Base station subsystems (AC, heating, ventilation, rectifiers, RF parts, CW, etc)

Competencies preferred:

  • ITIL knowledge
  • MW
  • MUX (E1 PDH)

Candidates with Scandinavian language skills will be preferred.
