Our client, a leading investment bank, is hiring for an Operational Risk & Internal Control Project Manager to run a project across a range of global trading activities. The role is highly visible within the business and based on a project that is co-sponsored by the Global Markets Front Office and Operational Risk and Internal Control
Responsibilities of the Operational Risk & Internal Control Project Manager role include:
* Acting as the prime point of contact for the Global Head of Operational Risk and the Global Markets COO for the project delivery.
* Key stakeholder engagement including the Project Steering Committee. This includes functional heads from Operations, Product Control, IT Compliance, and Front Office.
* Oversee the project governance (Steering Committee and Working group): agenda, papers, minutes etc.
* Owning the project plan, and ensure delivery against milestones
* Review and challenge work stream leads to ensure deliverable of appropriate quality and meeting meet the requirements of the project
* Preparation of project reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Assisting workstream leads on subject matter content using expert knowledge where appropriate.
* Identifying and address project risks and issues as required.
To be considered for this Operational Risk & Internal Control Project Manager role, candidates will need:
* Strong hands on operational risk management experience (risk control assessment, scenario analysis, incident management and forensics, etc.)
* Solid experience within investment banking
* Broad product knowledge across derivatives and cash
* A track record in managing multi workstream projects is also required
* To be able to influence and present at senior levels
