Experis is hiring a MS Lync Engineer for their client in Cincinnati, OH on a right-to-hire basis.
Position Description:
The Collaboration Services team has an opening for a mid-level Microsoft Lync Engineer. The Engineer will be responsible for completing the build of client's Lync environment for IM, Presence and Web Meeting capabilities. He/She will also serve as the lead Lync engineer on Unified Communications project until a Full time hire can be identified. This project will deploy Exchange, Lync, and Avaya based UCC functionality to 3 pilot locations in the Cincinnati area.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as lead UC Architect of Lync and telecom solutions.
Complete implementation of Lync technical design for IM, presence, and web meetings.
Serve as engineer for advanced technical issues regarding migration from OCS 2007 to Lync 2010.
Complete design and implementation for OCS/Lync Telephony integration.
Complete design and implementation Unified Messaging with Exchange 2010.
Requirements:
The ideal candidates should possess:
4 or more years direct experience with Lync, OCS 2007, and Live Meeting.
4 or more years design and deployment experience with related Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Windows Server, and SQL Server.
Direct experience with Cisco and Avaya voice platforms.
4 or more years direct experience with Networking: DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, FTP, VPN, SMTP, Firewalls, and terminal services.
Ability to work independently across organization to meet project and operational objectives.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Travel to customer site for duration of engagement.
Bonus Skills:
Related Microsoft, Avaya, or Cisco certifications.
Knowledge of related communication areas such as SMS/texting and faxing
Knowledge of SharePoint 2010.
