The.NET developer (Compact Framework) will perform analysis, development, testing, and create documentation for application projects and/or support and enhancement requests on mobile handheld devises.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the review and analysis of business requirements and the design of solutions for new applications.
- Develop work estimates for projects.
- Perform support and development activities for applications and/or projects assigned to the team.
- Document application and system specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
- Identify and evaluate vendor software and integration strategies.
- Develop and code applications to specification.
- Identify and implement appropriate testing strategy.
- Execute all steps required to deploy/implement the application solution.
- Participate in a self directed team environment. Collaborate with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements.
- Off-hours work will be required as business demands dictate.
- Carry and/or respond to cell phone calls for off-hours to fix application problems.
- Some travel may be required.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- 5+ years professional experience in IT solutions development in a medium to large corporate environment
4+ years experience with C# and the.NET frameworks required.
2+ years experience with Windows Mobile platform required. - Experience with native function calls through PInvoke preferred.
Experience automating unit and integration tests preferred.
Familiarity with MSBuild and Nant preferred. - Relational database skills.
- Experience with project life cycle methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Ability to work from general direction in the development of detailed solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or technical area or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Agile development experience
- Experience with TIBCO.
- Distributed platform development (Java, JavaScript and JSP with Struts HTML).
- Familiarity with XML and web services.
- Solid understanding of source control (SVN, CVS, etc) including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
- Experience using Mercury testing tools (ie TestDirector, Quicktest and LoadRunner).
