Murex Business Analyst to enter into a leading commodities provider based in the City.

Key responsibility includes gathering requirements, analysis and design for the company's Derivatives technology - Murex. Reporting into a Lead BA the candidate will work directly with users to understand business issues, ensuring efficient use of the software available and presenting available options in a persuasive manner.

  • A sound understanding of derivatives is essential along with a demonstrable track record in a front line business analyst role
  • Ability to organise and conduct trainings to the business users and Middleware developers in order to streamline existing business processes or set up new processes.
  • Ability to work at different level, from a broader business perspective down to the level of detail required to perform necessary configuration, including static data, market data, contract design, market risk views, reporting extracts, various workflows towards upstream and downstream applications.
  • Ability to handle several streams in parallel, each at a different stage in the usual development cycle
  • Previous experience as a business
    analyst, proven by a list of comprehensive achievements at banks, utilities or
    other financial institutions, on one of the following derivatives financial
    markets: Energy and Commodities, Fixed incomes and interest rates, FX markets
    and options. 
  • Experience of working on a recognized derivative trading system - front
    to back.
  • A detailed understanding of derivatives and their application, and
    structuring.
  • Experience of full project life cycle activities, analysis for
    enhancements to production systemsn efficient and concise manner to the other members of the team.
