Software Tool Administrator job #2645 -- Akron/Cleveland area, OhioResponsibilities:
• Installation and support of the Palamida enterprise tool.
• Support of tool for uptime and overall integrity.
• Handle project based administrative tasks.
• Work with tool internal clients with support and work requests such as project startup and users administration.
• Be able to report on issues, track issues, and work with the tool vendor.
• Work with Windows 2008 server on a virtualized environment.
• Work it Oracle team for database integration with tool.
• Update scripts as needed to support and update tool.
• Work with SCM team and tool to keep the Palamida tool and SCM interfaced.
• Work with LDAP enablement within tool environment.
Requirements:
? IT experience in software tool installation and customer support.
? Familiar with Windows 2008.
? Familiar with deployment on a virtual server environment..
? Understands IT needs such as tool uptime, backup plans, disaster recovery, and other aspects of software tool maintenance and support.
? Knowledgeable in open source software.
? Able to work effectively with a team and customer support.
? Good communication skills.
? Able to write or maintain scripts, preferably Java or Groovy scripting.
? Be familiar with Java administration.
? Familiar with source code control tools preferably Rational Clear Case and be able to interface tool to SCM environment.
? Be flexible in administration role and be willing to take on other tool assignment such as tool evaluations.
? Adaptive and fast learner.
Prior knowledge of the Palamida tool is not a requirement, on the job training will be done. Prior knowledge of a source code scanning tool is a plus.
